A tumor of the mantle has been found in Crassostrea gigas coming from oyster-bed of Marennes-Oleron basin. Near the tumor, the shells show a malformation. Microscopic examination shows the connective nature of this tumor, it was covered with an epithelium and consisted of several sinuses filled with leucocytes.
